Winter 2018 FabFitFun Unboxing

fabfitfun winter box products

One of my favorite parts of the year is receiving my FabFitFun box every season. I am an annual subscriber which means that the subscription is at a discounted cost and I also get more choice of which items I receive. These boxes are great for trying new, full-size products and learning about new brands. Everything below is what I received in my box plus some products I purchased as Add-Ons!

Anthropologie x Mer-Sea & Co. Sea Whip Body Cream in “Coconut Sugar” – Retails for $24

The Anthropologie x Mer-Sea & Co. Sea Whip Body Cream does not have a thick consistency, but it is on the more liquid-y side. It is so smooth and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin, which I love! Because it is not super heavy, a little goes a really long way. The scent I received is “Coconut Sugar” and it is such a nice scent, but not overly sweet. It claims to protect, nourish, and hydrate with key ingredients such as Sea Whip Extract, Sea Silt, and Dead Sea Salt. This body cream is paraben, PEG, and sulfate free, as well as cruelty free.

Brightening Face Serum by Way of Will – Retails for $35

The Brightening Face Serum by Way of Will is a lightweight serum that works to support dehydration, brighten skin, and reduce dark spots. It is full of vitamins such as Vitamin A and Vitamin C which help to brighten and revitalize the skin. I like this serum because it absorbs quickly and the scent is not overwhelming. It is free of sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, phthalates, silicones, synthetic oils and alcohol, as well as cruelty free.

Ahava Hydration Cream Mask – Retails for $33

The Ahava Hydration Cream Mask is a rich mask that is great for anyone with sensitive skin. The texture is thick and creamy and gives your skin a deep hydration. The mineral spring water, shea butter, and Vitamin E help to ensure your skin will be very hydrated. It is only necessary to use once or twice a week and you keep it on for five minutes top. That’s one of the best parts of this mask – it is quick and easy! It is approved for sensitive skin, allergy tested, and paraben free.

Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid – Retails for $29

The Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid is great for de-puffing and hydrating the under eye area. The key ingredient is hyaluronic acid which is extremely good for adding hydration. It also contains activated charcoal that works to wake up the under eye area. These masks are simple to use – just lay them under your eyes for 10-15 minutes, remove and rub in any excess serum into the skin. One pack comes with 5 sets and they are cruelty free.

Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in “Stella” – Retails for $24

I have wanted to try the Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener for so long after hearing about it and seeing ads for it all over social media. This product is very creamy and blendable and has the prettiest shimmer to it. It uses Ring Light Technology to highlight, brighten, and define the eye area. I use it on my brow bone, inner corner, and a tiny bit on the lower lash line to add pops of shimmer and brightness to any look. A feature I love about this pencil is that the bottom pops off and has a built in sharpener! This product is vegan, cruelty free, toxin free, paraben free, and sulfate free.

Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture jade Stone Roller – Retails for $45

This is the second jade roller I own, but I got this one to keep in my dorm room because I love my first one so much! I will be honest and say that I don’t fully understand everything jade rollers claim to do. But what I do know is that I love how it feels. It is a great massage at the end of the day and extremely easy to use. It cools down my face and afterwards it does not feel as tight.

Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask – Retails for $49

I am so excited that I received the Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask! My hair has been getting very dry at school, especially with the cold winter air. Something I haven’t touched on yet with the other products is the packaging. The box it came in, as well as the actual container all feel very luxurious which I love. This treatment mask is full of argan oil and keratin to help with adding moisture, strengthening the hair, and sealing split ends. This is a quick 5 minute mask for after shampooing that makes your hair feel amazing. The treatment is very creamy, but doesn’t leave your hair feeling greasy. It also has a very clean scent to it that I love! This mask is sulfate free.

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo – Retails for $44

I think I have finally found the perfect dry shampoo for my hair! The Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo absorbed the oils in my hair so fast. It also made my hair feel lightweight rather than weighted down, which is a huge plus for me. My hair felt really smooth after using it – my hair looked like I had just washed it. Some dry shampoos and products can make my scalp feel itchy, but that is not the case with this. Similarly to the treatment mask, the packaging and feel of this product is very luxurious. The Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo is dermatologist tested, paraben free, sulfate free, sodium chloride free, color and keratin treatment safe, has UV protection for hair, vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.

Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw in “Gray/Ivory” – Retails for $49

I am obsessed with this throw blanket! I am going to be redesigning my bedroom so that it has a more subdued/modern look and this will fit right in. The throw isn’t incredible thick, but it is extremely plush, soft, and cozy. The neutral tones are very pretty especially with the fringe details around the edge. This is one of my favorite items that came in the Winter FabFitFun box.

The Add-Ons I Purchased:

FabFitFun members have the opportunity to purchase add-on products to their box. The items are typically from brands that have previously been featured in boxes and are sold at an extremely discounted price.

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion – Retails for $40

I had received this moisturizer in a previous FabFitFun box and I fell in love with it. I like it best in the summer when I am on the oilier side, but still need moisture. It is oil-free and lightweight which is perfect for the summer and it never left my skin feeling greasy. This lotion was also great for my skin – I noticed I broke out less when I started using this.

Whish Shave Cream in “Coconut” – Retails for $16

FabFitFun is the reason I fell in love with the brand Whish! I have extremely sensitive skin and this shaving cream is perfect for sensitive skin. It moisturizes with natural squalane and organic shea butter, soothes with organic green tea and organic coconut oil, and nourishes with organic jojoba seed oil. After using this my skin is never red or patchy, but rather smooth and even-toned. This product is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, TEA, petrochemicals, and propellants, as well as cruelty free and leaping bunny certified.

Whish Lip Scrub in “Almond”

I was very excited to get this product because my lips are always so dry. It is such a gentle exfoliation and the scent is a very appealing sweet scent. A little goes a long way with this product and I have already noticed my lips are smoother. This scrub exfoliates with brown sugar, raspberry seed, and organic bamboo powder, moisturizes with organic shea butter, organic raspberry butter, and organic aloe, and renews with vitamin E extract and organic avocado oil. This product is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, TEA, petrochemicals, and, as well as cruelty free and leaping bunny certified.
